Eric Farland was born in California in 1966 and grew up in Woodside, California. He joined the Army in 1986, served in Desert Storm and left the Army in 1993.
He discovered his passion for wood working when he was in high school. Although he dedicated over 20 years to working in a corporate environment his journey brings him back to his passion.
He has recently set out to put all his attention, skill, and talent into creating exceptional pieces of art. Eric started out working with the scroll saw and later moved to turning on the wood lathe. He went from building artful furniture to creating bowls, pens, and segmented pieces.
Eric uses several mediums in creating his work including hybrid wood and epoxy/colored pencils that result in one-of-a-kind pieces.
Eric now lives in McDonough with his wife and family.
